In March 2022, the lovebirds got married in a gorgeous Hawaii wedding, and in November, they grew from a family of three to one of four. 2012: Brittany & Patrick Met In High School
According to Yahoo Sports, Brittany and Patrick first began dating while attending Whitehouse High School in Whitehouse, Texas.
2014: They Decided To Stay In Texas For College
Brittany reportedly graduated college in 2013, a year earlier than Patrick, and she decided to play soccer at the University of Texas at Tyler, according to Business Insider. A year later, Patrick enrolled at Texas Tech University, where he played football and baseball.
April 2017: Patrick Joined The Chiefs While Brittany Moved To Iceland To Play Soccer
In April 2017, Patrick was drafted into the NFL to play for the Kansas City Chiefs, while Brittany went on to play pro soccer in Iceland. "Every coach I have had at UT Tyler made a huge impact on my love for this game and my decision to play professional soccer," Brittany told the Morning Telegraph. "An opportunity opened up for me in Iceland and I could never pass up such an amazing experience to go do what I love." Fortunately, the couple was able to continue their relationship despite the distance.
2019: They Lived Together In Kansas City
A few years later, Brittany relocated to be with Patrick in Kansas City. He continued to shine on the field, and during his first season starting for the Chiefs, was named the NFL MVP of the season. Brittany went on to become a fitness coach and started Brittany Lynne Fitness. "I have experience with all levels of fitness and have carried that experience with me to create exercise programs for people at all stages on their fitness journey," she wrote on her website. Talk about an athletic power couple!
September 2020: Patrick Proposed To Brittany
After almost eight years of dating, Patrick announced on Instagram Stories that he had proposed to Brittany. Per ET, the proposal took place shortly after the Chiefs' Super Bowl ring ceremony on Sept. 1, 2020.
"My heart is so full," Brittany wrote on an Instagram Story photo that appeared to document their post-engagement dinner date. "I love this man so incredibly much and today was so so special. Couldn't imagine this day being anymore perfect."
2020: They Bought A Home In Kansas City
It also seemed like the couple would be calling Kansas City home for the foreseeable future. "Setting down roots in Kansas City was huge for us," Patrick told Bleacher Report during a tour of the couples' $1.925 million Mission Hills home. "I think the people are what we love the most about Kansas City. We're trying to be here for a long, long time."
September 2020: They Announced They Were Expecting Their First Child
On Sept. 29, 2020, Patrick posted a sonogram photo on his Instagram feed, revealing that the couple was expecting a baby girl in 2021. Although they didn’t share the due date at the time, some speculated they would be welcoming their newest addition in the spring.
February 2021: Patrick & Brittany Became Parents
Patrick and Brittany welcomed their daughter, Sterling Skye Mahomes, on Feb. 20, 2021. Later that month, Brittany took to Instagram to reflect on motherhood. “When I thought I knew love. Then I saw your face for the first time,” she wrote.
March 2022: They Got Married
Patrick and Brittany got married in Maui, Hawaii on March 12. A day later, they shared their happy update by posting their wedding photos on Instagram. They captioned the carousel of dreamy pics, “Mr. & Mrs. Mahomes 🤍.” So sweet!
May 2022: They Announced Their Second Pregnancy
Congratulations were in order (again)! On May 29, Patrick and Brittany posted a joint IG to share their baby update. “Round 2! 🤍,” they captioned the post. In the photos, their daughter Sterling Skye Mahomes held a sign that read “BIG SISTER DUTIES COMING SOON.”
November 2022: They Had Their Second Baby
Patrick and Brittany welcomed their second baby — and their first son — on Nov. 28. The couple took to Instagram to announce the arrival of their new family member and to reveal his sweet name: Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III.
January 2023: Brittany Celebrated Patrick Going To Super Bowl LVII
When the Chiefs beat the Bengals, claiming their spot at the 2023 Super Bowl, Brittany celebrated the win on Instagram, “SUPER BOWL HERE WE COME!!” In another video, she told their toddler Sterling, “Your daddy just won the game.” When Patrick took to IG to celebrate the win, he posted a photo of his and Brittany’s post-game kiss.
